Prime 30
Prime 30
Challenge: When Quantified Marketing Group’s concept development team was charged to design a casual dining seafood and steakhouse restaurant in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, they arrived to find an outdated dining scene.
Solution: QMG decided to design a modern and fresh restaurant concept that would make Prime 30 stand apart from the slew of restaurants in the area with behind-the-times designs.
The Prime 30 restaurant design presents the ambiance of a classic steakhouse but with a modern and comfortable feel. Wood furniture, stone accents and a color palette consisting of off-white, greens and browns help to create a flowing, relaxed atmosphere.
The restaurant is divided into two sections, a dining area and a bar area, and incorporates various seating elements throughout. The dining room includes couch-like chairs, round booths and banquet seating, and the bar is accompanied by a lounge area with custom-couches and bench seating to create a more social environment.
Although the restaurant is divided into two areas, it is designed in a way that creates a flow between the two. By way of a shared wall, a wine display at the bar is also accessible to the dining area. A giant curved wooden light fixture floats between the two areas, subliminally creating a sense of continuity.
Result: Prime 30 was designed to be a place where people can sit and enjoy their food in a comfortable, yet modern environment unique to the Pittsburg dining scene. The dining area and bar area are divided but flow together fluidly, encouraging patrons to stay longer as they dine, relax and mingle.
