The Dock 5 Inc.

Situation: The Dock 5 Inc. owns and operates two of Florida’s highest volume independent restaurant concepts, The Dock and Riverwalk. The company sought to improve its day-to-day operations and increase traffic for lunch and dinner.

Solution: Quantified Marketing Group implemented customer and employee surveys to help us quantify what are otherwise qualitative issues, such as service, quality, menu appeal, value and variety. The research also pinpointed the frequency of customers versus the competition. The survey data gave us clear and indisputable indication of areas for improvement. One area of improvement identified was the menu. QMG engineered the menu to direct customer attention to higher margin items and incorporated the latest techniques in menu merchandising.

Result: The company reached an additional net profit of $20,000 per month. The company also saw record sales at both locations – one of which has been open for 25 years, the other for 28 years. Today, management doesn’t believe there is any physical way of generating additional sales in these locations – they have reached their maximum potential.
