Travel Diary of a Restaurant Consultant
Travel Diary of a Restaurant Consultant
Australia
was definitely an adventure. After the 32-hour trip, we were excited to
get down to business. Dennis Marzella, Senior Vice President of Brand
Development & Research, and Brand Manager, Lisa Burrows, accompanied me on this
journey.
Currently in the works is the induction of several locations worldwide. The initiative is to revolutionize the traditional restaurant that worldly patrons are accustomed to.
This new concept will be promoting a healthy lifestyle through the means of delicious vegetarian cuisine. The main goal is to transform the negative connotation that is typically perceived regarding the subject. Instead the benefits healthy foods provide for a sound body and mind will be highlighted.
The first restaurant will be established in a prominent world renowned location. The creators are passionate about transforming people’s views regarding vegetarianism throughout all realms of the globe.
When Dennis, Lisa, and I finally had the chance to take in a little bit of the Australian culture we headed to Whiteman and Cavershaw Wildlife Parks. There we were able to hold and feed native animals like koala bears, kangaroos, emus, wombats, and wallabies, among others.
We also found time to visit several local restaurants in Perth. One of my personal favorites was Harlequin. Their claim to fame is their wide array of infamous oysters, which was right on target. Not only were these extraordinarily succulent, but there were several toppings to choose from, which proved to be a difficult feat.
Unfortunately, we did not have the time to explore the Outback or any of the other wonders Australia has to offer. Nevertheless, we were extremely excited to have extended our services to a new continent, halfway across the world.
Our meeting was ultimately a success, so the extensive travel hours were well worth it. I am thrilled to expand upon this concept once it is more underway and established.
