R.J. Gator’s supports Mississippi franchisee
R.J. Gator’s supports Mississippi franchisee through hurricane relief fundraisers and ‘Dine for America’ Jupiter, Fla. – R.J. Gator’s, which planned to open a location in
Waveland, Mississippi this fall, is supporting the Hurricane Katrina
Relief efforts by raising funds in each of its 22 locations throughout
the southeast.
At any time, guests may add a donation to their checks, which will be
donated directly to one of the local non-profit organizations in
Waveland.
“Waveland, which borders Louisiana, was one of the hardest hit towns in
Mississippi,” said R.J. Gator’s franchisee, William R. Lady. “I
lost two businesses, two homes, three cars and all of their contents.”
Lady had planned to open his first R.J. Gator’s restaurant this fall,
followed by two more in the next three years – one in each of
Mississippi’s coastal counties. “I still plan to follow through
with my goal of opening three locations,” said Lady. “Every day
seems to get better, and I look forward to future growth in this area.”
On October 5, which has been proclaimed “Dine for America” day,
restaurants across the nation will join together to support the
American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, helping those affected by
Hurricane Katrina. That evening, R.J. Gator’s has committed to
donating 15% of all sales directly to the fund.
R.J. Gator’s restaurants will also host prize raffles that evening, donating all proceeds to the relief fund.
“Like so many others, we have been touched by the recent tragedies in
Louisiana and Mississippi,” said Tim Timoteo, founder and CEO of
Jupiter-based R.J. Gator’s. “Our hearts and prayers go out to
those affected, and we want to do our part to help. We invite the
community to come out and join us.”
