Natures Table Café Offers a Healthy Alternative to Fast Food

Orlando, Fl- When Nature’s Table Café first opened its doors in 1977 in Orlando, Florida, it offered customers a healthy, freshly prepared alternative to traditional fast food.  The restaurant’s nutritional menu of sensible sandwiches, light salads, homemade soups and frozen yogurt was an instant success and proved that Orlando was hungry for a healthy alternative to typical fast food menus.  Soon, Nature’s Table Cafés were popping up all over the Central Florida area.

In 1995, the original Nature’s Table Café moved from its downtown Orlando location to One Orlando Center, a bustling business center; this was the beginning of Nature’s Table’s position as a lunch-time staple in offices across the nation.  The success of the Nature’s Table Café in One Orlando Center brought requests from several other office buildings and companies wanting Nature’s Tables in their facilities.  Within a short period of time, operations opened in Celebration Tower, Summitt Tower, the Walt Disney World Maingate Office Complex and the MGM Studios Feature Animation Building, Oracle Software, Travelers Insurance, The Naval Air Warfare Training Center and twelve units for AT&T Wireless Services including their World Headquarters.

Nature’s Table Café can be found in approximately 60 locations in ten states and continues to grow.  “We are happy to place Nature’s Tables in locations where people work, shop and travel,” said Dick Larsen, Nature’s Table Franchise Company President.  “We look forward to continued expansion across the country.” 

One example of Nature’s Table’s continued growth is the recently-signed agreement to open at the Hartsfield International Airport in Atlanta.  “2005 has been our best year ever,” said Larsen.  “The Atlanta airport is one of the busiest airports in the country.”

Nature’s Table continues to grow through extensive franchised expansion. The company is continually looking for seasoned operators to open restaurant units in new territories across the United States.  “Franchise owners are entitled to corporate support in restaurant design, location assistance, lease negotiations, operations and employee training,” said Larsen.

Nature’s Table’s menu offers a variety of healthy options, sure to satisfy every taste.  The menu consists of time-tested classics as well as several new items that feature ethnic and global flavors.  These new menu items include Sesame Thai Chicken Wrap, Chipotle Chicken Wrap, The Tuscan Wrap, Roast Beef Bluez Panini, Club Panini, Portofino Panini and a Grilled Tuna Melt Panini.  These Gourmet Wraps and Panini’s range in price from $4.99 to $5.89. 

Nature’s Table featured the first smoothies to be offered in Florida back in 1977, and continues to offer delicious and nutritional smoothies.  Today, Nature’s Table partners with Freshens and Met-Rx to offer smoothies that feature exciting new flavors and nutritional enhancements made exclusively for Nature’s Table. “The opportunity to have Met-Rx nutritional boosters available to our health and fitness conscious customers is a huge plus. Each smoothie is vitamin fortified with more than 100% of the recommended daily allowances of vitamins A, C, D and E,” said Rich Wagner, Senior Vice-President of Nature’s Table franchise company.  The beverages range in price from $3.29-$3.69.
