Sauces, spreads dress up meal assembly shop

Tampa, Fl – A pair of moms trying to simplify the process of creating tasty and healthy weekday dinners in households throughout Florida are dressing up their dinner preparation company’s meal options with a menu of sauces, spreads and dipping oils.

Founded in 2004 by Marni Poe and Melissa Slack, Let’s Eat! is a dinner preparation shop that is designed to eliminate the planning, shopping and clean-up involved in making fresh-cooked meals.

Customers can assemble eight to 12 wholesome meals in less than two hours inside Let’s Eat!’s state-of-the-art commercial kitchen which is equipped with all the ingredients, cooking utensils and packing material needed to assemble family-sized entrées and carry them home.

In addition to a monthly menu of 14 entrées, Let’s Eat! customers will also find easy appetizers, flavorful salad dressings and savory dipping oils to serve alongside their Let’s Eat! dinners right at their fingertips.

All four Let’s Eat! shops are carrying the savory sides that they have labeled Extra Edibles.

“This is just another way we’re making it a little easier to put dinner on the table,” Slack said.

The sauces include sun-dried tomato bruschetta, six-pepper salsa, tomato pine nut parmesan pasta sauce, artichoke and walnut pasta sauce, raspberry mustard dipping sauce and artichoke parmesan bruschetta.

The dipping oils come in two flavors, spicy tuscan and sun-dried tomato. Let’s Eat! features three flavors of salad dressing including blue cheese pecan balsamic vinaigrette, honey ginger lemon grass vinaigrette and garden herb vinaigrette.

Ranging from $10 to $12 a container, the Extra Edibles can be used in a variety of ways.

The artichoke parmesan bruschetta, one of the top-selling condiments at all four locations, is one of the most diverse toppings Let’s Eat! offers.

“You can serve that in many different ways, as an appetizer with fresh bread, or toss it with pasta or drizzle it over chicken,” Slack said.

The garden herb vinaigrette, another top-selling condiment, also doubles as a tangy marinade for chicken or pork. For easy entertaining during the holidays, Slack recommends the artichoke and spinach dip or crab parmesan dip that hit shelves in mid-November.

The Extra Edibles can be pre-ordered by customers through the company’s convenient Web site www.letseatdinner.com with the purchase of a regular session or are available in the store. Let’s Eat! can also package the condiments in gift baskets during the holidays.

Today, there are four Let’s Eat! stores in Florida, in south Tampa, northwest Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater. Orlando welcomes its first Let’s Eat! in December. Sarasota will break ground on a Let’s Eat! location in early 2006. Maryland will open a Let’s Eat! store sometime next year.
