Cancun, Q. Roo, Mexico – Glazz Restaurant & Ultra Lounge,
Cancun’s premier destination for upscale dining and nightlife, has
recently made its former nightclub space available for upscale special
events, themed parties and holiday dinners or banquets.
Located
at Plaza la Isla in the midst of the area’s Zona Hotelera, Glazz is
known for its sophisticated Asian cuisine in a chic contemporary
atmosphere. Serving sushi and a variety of specialty dishes, the
restaurant and ultra lounges also feature an extensive drink menu, with
premium sakes and signature martinis.
Glazz opened in 2002 as a
restaurant, ultra lounge and nightclub entertainment facility.
Last year, however, the nightclub was temporarily shut down in an
effort to refocus management’s attention on the dining and ultra lounge
areas. Plans are currently being made to reopen the nightclub
with an entirely new theme; however, in the meantime, it has proven to
be a highly functional space for private, large-scale special events.
“Since the nightclub space still includes working
equipment, lighting and furniture, we decided to make it available to
others while it’s not being used,” said Lalo Beaven, managing partner
of Glazz Restaurant & Ultra Lounge. “So far, we’ve hosted a
variety of successful private parties, such as VIP events for
UltraFemme’s new product launches.”
The 4,250 square-foot
facility features seating for 250 and standing room for a total of 500
guests. Full menu options are available in the nightclub, and
cost of renting the space is determined on the number of guests in
attendance.
Glazz Restaurant & Ultra Lounge is owned
by Grupo Anderson’s – Mexico’s largest restaurant group and parent
company of highly visible restaurants like Señor Frog’s and Carlos’n
Charlie’s. Glazz has carved a niche among Cancun’s dining options

located on the upper level.
