Glazz unveils new addition and daytime menu

Glazz RestaurantCancun, Q. Roo, Mexico – Glazz Restaurant & Ultra Lounge, Cancun’s premier destination for upscale dining and nightlife, has extended its hours of operation and introduced a new daytime menu, featuring select martinis, sushi, salads and other Asian specialties.

Located at Plaza la Isla in the midst of the area’s Zona Hotelera, Glazz has also recently extended its entrance onto the interior of the shopping village.  This indoor/outdoor terrace area overlooks the complex’s interior canal and is where the daytime menu is served.

The terrace’s seating area is elegantly but comfortably designed, mimicking the chic décor of Glazz’s interior with white and bold colors, as well as intricate lighting and sophisticated architectural elements throughout.

The menu, which is served from noon until midnight daily, features everything from popular sushi rolls like the Spider Roll and Dragon Roll to specialty lunch-sized Asian entrees, such as Glazz’s Crisp Honey Chicken, as well as a selection of soups, salads and desserts.

“Because of the popularity of our sushi and other Asian specialties at dinner-time, we decided to provide a similar menu for guests to enjoy during the day,” said Eduardo ‘Lalo’ Beaven, general manager of Glazz Restaurant & Ultra Lounge.  “We have expanded our entrance into the shopping center to welcome guests onto the terrace for lunch, and we are happy to see that it has worked!”

The main dining room at Glazz opens at 6 p.m., and the Ultra Lounge serves specialty martinis and other premium drinks until 3 a.m. nightly.

Glazz is owned by Grupo Anderson’s – Mexico’s largest restaurant group and parent company of highly visible restaurants like Señor Frog’s and Carlos’n Charlie’s.  Glazz has carved a niche among Cancun’s dining options by providing visitors with a destination where they can experience superb Asian cuisine and spirits in a restaurant and ultralounge concept.  Defined by casual elegance in a chic atmosphere, Glazz has brought sophistication and style to Cancun’s culinary and nightlife scenes.

Glazz’s menu includes Chinese, Thai and Japanese items along with varieties of sushi. Crab wontons, Thai lettuce wraps, Mongolian beef, crispy honey shrimp and banana spring rolls are among the signature items prepared by executive chef Eduardo Ruiz.  Drinks include specialty martinis, premium sakes, and a line of flavored vodkas.

The Earth, Fire and Ice lounge areas on the lower level are dynamic microenvironments where images, textures and smells produce a treat for the senses.  The dining room – where the restaurant’s sushi, seafood, steaks and Asian cuisine are served – is located on the upper level.

Founded by Carlos Anderson more than 40 years ago, Grupo Anderson’s is the largest restaurant company in Mexico.  Based in Cancun, the company’s other concepts include Señor Frog´s, Carlos'n Charlie´s, El Tumbaburro, El Shrimp Bucket, Mama Roma and Come n’ Eat.
