Welcome to the latest issue of Quantified Marketing Group's monthly newsletter! The holiday season has arrived, and we as an agency have a lot to be thankful for - especially considering the rapid growth we have seen in 2005. Our client base has grown by 200 percent, and the QMG team has expanded to more than 25.
Though 2005 is drawing to a close, we have an assortment of news regarding the fourth quarter. I was privileged to conduct a presentation on web site and interactive marketing at the 10th Annual International Foodservice Technology Exhibition from Nov. 6-9 at the Gaylord Texas Resort and Convention Center in Grapevine, Tex. November and December are busy months for press parties we are coordinating for our clients. Fratelli La Bufala, which made its U.S. debut in Miami Beach in October and specializes in authentic Neapolitan cuisine; Texas de Brazil, which is opening its newest location in Schaumburg (a suburb of Chicago); Escopazzo, which features authentic cuisine from the different regions of Italy prepared by acclaimed chef Giancarla Bodoni; and Louise's, which specializes in soul food in mid-town Atlanta, are hosting press parties that have attracted the interest of prominent regional and national journalists. We find that press parties generate extensive exposure for our clients since they attract a group of journalists at one time, and they get the chance to experience the restaurants first-hand.

 New Smyrna Beach's Hidden Gem
Tucked in the corner of a shopping center two blocks from the ocean, Spanish River Grill & Wine Bar presents a blend of Modern Spanish tastes in a quaint and upscale-casual atmosphere.
In a small beachside town that generally caters to seasonal tourists, Spanish River Grill & Wine Bar presents a refreshing choice for upscale-casual diners.
With a "no boundaries" culinary approach, the menu features Modern Spanish cuisine, incorporating a blend of traditional and non-traditional tastes from around the world, greatly influenced by the hot culinary innovations in Barcelona, Spain.
To Henry Salgado, owner and head chef, the art of cooking is a heartfelt passion rooted in his heritage. Henry's grandparents are of Cuban and Spanish decent, and many Spanish River Grill selections are reflective of these Latin cultures, such as Ma's Crab Enchilau and Papa's Cuban Sandwich. With a focus on accentuating the natural flavors of fresh seafood, other popular house specialties include the Yuca Crusted Fresh Fish over Black Beans, Salted Cod Bucalau Salad, and the Albondigas Meatballs with Mojo Picón, a new tapas-style appetizer.
Through his extensive background in the restaurant industry, Henry has developed a great appreciation and respect for food, and practices an extremely detail-oriented culinary style. Dishes are carefully prepared, complimented with fine wines and finished with exquisite desserts. Henry's wife and co-owner, Michele, also acts as head Pastry Chef, preparing legendary desserts, such as the Caramelized Flan and the Chocolate-Chocolate Bread Pudding.
"Because my style focuses on the traditional and innovative aspects of Spanish cuisine, there are no limitations as to what I can create and serve," said Salgado, who was raised in South Florida and attended the Florida Culinary Institute in West Palm Beach. "Just as Barcelona simultaneously celebrates its architectural history and cutting-edge innovations, I have incorporated old and new into my recipes, savoring traditional tastes with new approaches."
As a result of their continued success with this concept, the Salgados have received interest from prominent Florida investors, who have encouraged their desire to expand.
The second Spanish River Grill location is scheduled to open in Ormond Beach this Summer. It will feature the same menu and charming ambiance of the original location, with the addition of a full-liquor 20-seat bar, more outdoor dining, a private tasting room and seating for a total of 150.

Designs for the retail store include unusually creative store fixtures, interactive props, unexpected retail merchandise packaging, and a 24-hour souvenir vending machine. QMG is also designing wacky and wild souvenirs to remember your Señor Frog's experience.
